Welcome and congratulations!

I am glad to say that have been successful in reaching the ‘members’ section of the Christ Church Lavender Bay website!

‘Why do we have a members section?’ I hear you ask.

For a while now I have thought that it would be extremely useful to be able to access important information for the running of our church. However, it would be inappropriate to make this available to the general public. The ‘members’ section allows us to create an online space that only members of our church can access. The site is password protected so you can access the site with your own unique password.

This ‘members’ section is a tool designed to centralise church communication, provide valuable resources to members, and streamline participation.

Current features include:

1. The service roster, where you can find what is planned for the upcoming Sunday and who is doing what!

2. A prayer section with the monthly prayer notes. We are also hoping that this will become a place where you can submit prayer requests, receive prayer, and pray for others.

3. Other resources will be posted here, such as newsletters, annual reports, and other important updates.

As things develop, we will add to this. For example, I am hoping to put some resources that explain our thinking about ‘giving’ as well as our overall plan and vision. If we need to communicate something to the whole church (like ‘how to avoid the road closures for the Sydney Marathon’), it will be done by the ‘members’ section.

So, this went ‘live’ on Wednesday, 3 September. You will have received an email with registration details for the Members’ Page, along with a tutorial video. For anyone who finds the tutorial challenging, we will be organizing a seminar for additional support. If you know of people who have not yet given us their details, encourage them to register using the QR at the back of the church.
